Posey Waldrup purchased Canton Sheet Metal & Roofing (CSM) in 1980.  In the beginning, the focus remained on sheet metal work, as well as cotton gin and blowpipe work.  This was the focus from the late 1940's, until the mid 80's, when CSM underwent a transition into the roofing industry.

John Waldrup has been with CSM since 1980, working during the summers and on weekends.  He began full-time after attending Mississippi State University.  In the late 80's, John was called out to Charleston, South Carolina, after Hurricane Hugo, to work on the historical antebellum homes for which that area of the country is so well known.  John acquired a South Carolina license and helped in the rebuilding of the area for 2 1/2 years.

In the early 90's, in one year alone, the CSM crews traveled from Tampa to Indianapolis to Denver.  Now, they are choosing to stay a little closer to home and participate in the public open markets.  The home office is located in Canton, Mississippi, while a second office is located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, to work on projects stemming from Hurricane Katrina.

CSM is currently a licensed contractor in Mississippi and Alabama.  Some of the services that CSM provides include: built-up roofing, modified roofing, single-ply roofing, metal roofing, steel buildings, as well as some specialty roofing.  This family-owned and operated business has grown from just a few employee to multiple crews in each type of skill set.
